Yellowbook advertising & promotion

Yellowbook's marketing efforts are designed to drive brand awareness, usability and usage of our Yellowbook print directories and our website, yellowbook.com. Memorable advertising is at the heart of that.

Our latest campaign, launched in May 2008, is part of a full branding makeover with a new streamlined logo, a name conversion to one word (formerly Yellow Book), new television commercials and newly designed print directories. Under the theme 'Say Yellow to the Future' these initiatives help present Yellowbook as a forward thinking, innovative digital force of the future.

The campaign represents a natural evolution of the Yellowbook brand and centres on our goal to help local business remain visible and accessible in an e-commerce society.

Integral to the campaign are two new television commercials, both set in the future. In one a bullied boy returns from school. He turns to Yellowbook on his touch-screen and a holographic sensei leaps from the screen into his living room – transforming the boy into a martial arts whiz, brimming with self-confidence. The second features a bride-to-be who needs an embarrassing tattoo removed before her wedding. Her interactive Yellowbook guide helps her on her quest for a clean slate.

To see both of these commercials, please go to the campaign information page.

The campaign is supported by a microsite, SayYellowToTheFuture.com, which allows visitors and customers to view, download and share the TV commercials. In addition, the microsite links to Yellowbook's YouTube channel to engage and connect with the YouTube community. You can visit our YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/yellowbookvideo. Both the microsite and YouTube channel enable Yellowbook to tap into the viral nature of the web, engaging millions of people in the social networking and social media communities.
