YellowbookOur Yellowbook printed directories started in 1930 as local community directories published by Merchants Advertising Inc. in Long Island. Renamed as Yellowbook in 1949, and after almost five decades of expansion, Yellowbook directories now cover 48 states and the District of Columbia.
Since 1999 we have acquired more than 50 directory companies including McLeod in April 2002, National Directory Company in December 2002, Feist Publications in March 2004 and TransWestern in July 2005. All the directories we acquire are re-branded and re-launched as Yellowbook. We also grow by launching directories into new geographical markets.
In the 2008 financial period we launched 26 new directories and we now publish 984 Yellowbook directories throughout the US, plus the District of Columbia, distributing 128 million copies to homes and businesses.
