Yell Publicidad, previously known as TPI, began its activity in 1967, and is now the leading provider of directory services in Spain, Argentina, Chile and Peru.Yell Publicidad’s core business is the provision of directories – printed, online and telephone based. Its main products are yellow pages directories, predominantly known as Paginas Amarillas throughout its operations. Other printed products include yellow pages for the car, a business to business directory specialising in the construction sector, white pages directories, neighbourhood directories and pocket guides. Yell Publicidad has a strong internet presence, and has leading online yellow pages sites in all countries of operation. Yell Publicidad also offer operator-assisted telephone services in Spain and Chile, providing residential and yellow pages information over the phone, and additional useful information for users on the move.
In November 2005 the TPI Group acquired Telinver (now known as Yell Argentina, S.A.), the leading directories business in Argentina and, in April 2007, we bought Argentina’s telephone directory business, Publicom, from Telecom Argentina, which gave us a leading position in this country. Publicom owned the ‘Paginas Amarillas’ brand and, after extensive research, we now use the ‘Paginas Amarillas’ brand throughout Argentina to replace the ‘Paginas Doradas’ name for our yellow pages directories. We sold TPI Brazil in March 2007.
