1998

Find Your London in Yellow Pages
The award winning Find Your London in Yellow Pages advertising campaign, including the fully branded Circle Line Yellow Pages Tube Train, ran for 12 months. The campaign also featured poster ads, tube maps and ticket wallets. Yellow Pages also began it’s sponsorship of the London Underground tube maps, which continues today. In addition, a national poster campaign featuring images on a yellow background, juxtaposed with classifications promoted Yellow Pages.

1999

Jigsaw
Business Pages launched its first national press campaign with the Jigsaw Press Ads, centred around a variety of images featuring a missing jigsaw piece. The Business Pages classification provided the answer to the puzzle reflecting its ability to provide the complete business picture.

2000

London Underground
London Underground
Yell.com took over the sponsorship of the London Underground tube maps and all outdoor activity, including posters, buses and taxis promoted Yell.com, with the strapline ‘Don’t search, just Yell.com’ for a year.
Less Stress
The Business Pages Less Stress press campaign ran in Metro, the free commuter paper and a variety of trade press titles. The ads highlighted the importance of having a Business Pages close to hand to make the working day run smoother.

2001

Mr Stickman
Mr Stickman
The Yell.com online superstitials campaign Mr Stickman launched featuring an unlucky comical character who needed the services offered by Yell.com after a series of mishaps.

2003

Essential Business Equipment
Business Pages launched the Essential Business Equipment campaign on radio and in the Metro commuter paper. The ads positioned the brand as an essential information source in the workplace and demonstrated how it can help make working life easier when faced with out-of-the-ordinary work tasks.
Yellow Pages 118 247
Yellow Pages 118 247 launched with a national radio campaign featuring James Nesbitt. Each of the 9 ads demonstrated scenarios to show what the phone service is and what it can offer. Yellow Pages 118 247 also took over the sponsorship of the London Underground Pocket Maps.
Thank Heavens for Yell.com.
In July, a new online campaign was launched, designed to raise brand awareness and demonstrate that Yell.com is the most direct way to find businesses, shops and services online. Comic-book in style, the new advertising is bold and fresh, portraying Yell.com as a superhero finding local business search results. This is reflected in the strapline Thank Heavens for Yell.com.
Yell.com for UK Shops and Services
Yell.com launched a new online campaign, designed to raise awareness of the brand and educate internet users about what the site can do for them. This was reflected in the strapline Yell.com for UK Shops and Services. Themed advertising ran at both Christmas and Valentines Day.

2004

Radio Campaign
A National Radio campaign followed on from the TV burst earlier in the year, and this ran until December. The ads explained simply what Yellow Pages 118 24 7 is, in that it is 'Just like Yellow Pages, but on the phone'. The adverts, 'Meal in', 'Numbers' and 'Tailor' can be heard by via the links below.
