Lambeth Council has joined forces with Yell’s Directory Recycling Scheme to offer Lambeth Residents the opportunity to recycle their old Yellow Pages for the first time.New editions of the directory - featuring the new chick front covers - will be distributed to all households in the area in the next few weeks. Old directories will be collected by Lambeth Community Recycling as part of the Green Box kerbside collection scheme for use as animal bedding.
Jason Searles, Sustainable Wastes Manager at Lambeth, said of the scheme, "We are pleased that this scheme is going ahead as part of our recycling collection service. We will now be able to further reduce the amount of waste that Lambeth currently sends to landfill."
Adam Billiald, of Yell’s Directory Recycling Scheme added, "This is a great opportunity for Lambeth residents to recycle their old Yellow Pages - I’m sure that it will prove popular."
