Yellow Pages directory recycling made easier in West Oxfordshire - 13 July 2004
Householders in West Oxfordshire are being urged by the District Council to recycle their old 2003/04 Yellow Pages directory when the new 2004/05 edition is delivered to their doors over the next few weeks.The Council has been given a grant by the Yellow Pages Directory Recycling Scheme to place special recycling banks around the District and make it easier for local residents to recycle their old Yellow Pages directory.
Householders are to look out for the recycling banks with bright Yellow Pages stickers on them at the following car parks during August:
- Burford (Main Car Park)
- Carterton (Blackbourton Road)
- Charlbury (Spendlove)
- Chipping Norton (New Street)
- Eynsham (Back Lane)
- Long Hanborough (Reily Close)
- Witney (Welch Way)
- Woodstock (Hensington Road)
All the old directories collected will be recycled into magazines and newspapers.
Cllr David Harvey, cabinet member for the Environment, said: “Thanks to the support of Yellow Pages, we’re able to offer new directory recycling opportunities to our residents. I encourage everyone to use these facilities over the next few weeks.”
