Yell, the web site of Yellow Pages, announces a partnership with Excite, which establishes Yell as the online business directory of choice on the UK web site of one of the world’s leading Internet media companies.

The partnership will give users of Excite access to over 1.7 million UK business listings that are available in the online version of the Yellow Pages. We are extremely pleased to be able to work with such a major Internet portal site such as Excite."

Evan Rudowski, General Manager Excite UK, commenting on the announcement said, "Yell offers a comprehensive web directory of UK businesses as well as a huge amount of other useful and entertaining content. Our decision to work with Yell will enable us to offer our users great functionality and content, whilst Yell in turn will feature Excite as the recommended search service on its site."

The deal is due to go live on Excite on 8 March 1999.
