Yell.com Teams Up With Adtrader.co.uk to Boost Online Consumer Offering - 12 October 2000

Yell.com, the destination site of the Yellow Pages Group, today announced its partnership with AdTrader.co.uk, the UK’s most comprehensive classified advertising website.

The deal will make their respective online classified advertising available through each other’s sites. AdTrader.co.uk will become the preferred website of choice on Yell.com for consumer-to-consumer classified advertising information and Yell.com will become the preferred site on AdTrader.co.uk for business directories and business services.

The partnership will be launched to the consumer in the week commencing 16th October. Initially, there will be reciprocal links at appropriate points on each site to enable users to extend their search to the complementary sets of data. The aim is then to extend the relationship through data integration, data sharing, and joint participation in distribution opportunities.

Eddie Cheng, new media services director, Yell.com said: "Our objective is to maximise the natural synergy between the sites’ directories. This strategic alliance will contribute to our long-term aim of becoming an effective point on the web for businesses and consumers alike."
