It's a winning move with Yell.com! As one lucky winner scoops £10,000 - 24 September 2001
With just a few clicks of the mouse, one lucky Reading resident scooped £10,000 - thanks to the one stop property information section of Yell.com. The online competition gave homebuyers the chance to win a cash prize to go towards the deposit on a new home.The winner, Robin Cawsey, has lived in the Reading area since graduating from Reading University some five years ago. After buying their first home XX years ago, Robin and his wife decided now was a good time to take the next step up the property ladder. As they both lead busy lives they used the internet, and in particular the property channel of Yell.com to help them search for their next home.
Robin comments, "I had been using the property channel of Yell.com to search for houses in our price range and to find practical information such as council tax bands and local amenities for the areas we were interested in. I was also drawn to the risk reports section, as it is such a good idea to check that a potential property was not at risk from flooding or subsidence.”
