The best sites and sounds are rewarded at the Yell.com/Awards 2001 - 10 September 2001
The shortlisted sites in the Best Arts and Music category are modculture.com, sbc.org.uk, clubinlondon.co.uk, abctales.com, empireonline.co.uk and whatamigoingtoread.com. Representing the full spectrum of the arts, from literature and film, to clubbing and cultural groups, these websites have now entered the second phase of the judging process where a panel of high profile media judges will decide the winner of a prestigious Yell.com/Award 2001.Reflecting the diversity of sites dedicated to arts and culture online, the shortlist includes a website dedicated to the mod scene, the Royal Festival Hall and the Hayward Gallery, as well as empireonline, which offers features, news and film analysis for devoted cinema goers.

The Websites that have been shortlisted in the Best Arts and Music Site category should be proud of their achievement - they truly do represent the people’s choice of the best on the Net.”
The judges now face the difficult task of selecting one winner in each of the twelve categories. The winning Websites will be announced at an exclusive awards ceremony, hosted by Graham Norton, at the Atlantis Gallery in London on 3 October 2001. Sonique and Talvin Singh will be performing at the awards ceremony.
