Yell.com Launches Property Rentals - 26 July 2001
Yell.com has further enhanced its Property channel with the launch of a Property Rentals search facility in association with asserta home. This latest development furthers Yell.com’s aim to make the Property Channel the one stop shop for home buyers, sellers, improvers and renters.The Property section on Yell.com gives users the opportunity to search through more than 9,500 rental properties from 5,500 estate agency branches nationwide. Users can search by town or postcode, number of bedrooms and the minimum or maximum monthly rent that they want to pay.
Nick Harknett, general manager for Yell.com, said: "We have been delighted with the success of the Properties for Sale Search facility launched at the beginning of this year through our distribution agreement with asserta home. This new agreement is a natural progression which will complement the existing information on the site."
David Lundholm, managing director of asserta home, added: "Since we started developing the rental channel, it has become very clear that there is a huge demand from people who for whatever reason prefer to rent rather than buy. The rental market is particularly suited to the internet, since the properties that everyone wants to rent tend to move very quickly. We can help potential tenants get to the front of the queue."
