Yell for Home Improvement! Yell.com/Property Launches Home Improvement - 26 March 2001

Yell.com/Property has launched Home Improvement – an on-line information source for locating, choosing and using a professional for home improvements - from minor decorating projects to major building conversions.

Home Improvement has been made possible through agreements Yell.com/Property has set up with six major trade associations*. Each association has provided valuable information on a whole range of problems and home improvement projects, together with essential guidance on choosing the right professional for the job.

A list of frequently asked questions cover each area of home improvement expertise and if the user is still stumped, an ‘ask the expert’ facility allows homeowners to put their own question to the site. Yell.com will research the answer with the appropriate trade association and send a reply to the user’s email address. Questions which crop up regularly will be added to the FAQ’s on an on-going basis.

Once armed with this valuable knowledge, users can choose a registered professional within their area simply by entering their postcode.
