Yellow Book acquires directories from Smart Books of Colorado - 11 August 2005
Uniondale, NY (August 11, 2005) - Yellow Book USA announced today that it has completed the purchase of the Collegiate Peaks Country, High Country, Royal Gorge Country and San Luis Valley yellow pages directories from Smart Books of Colorado, LLC.Joe Walsh, President and CEO of Yellow Book USA said, "This acquisition represents a great opportunity for Yellow Book to utilize its product expertise and resources to better serve Colorado consumers and businesses."
The acquisition of the Smart Books directories further strengthens Yellow Book’s presence in Colorado where the company already publishes successful directories throughout the state.
No significant changes are planned for the Smart Book directories in the coming year, aside from some user-friendly enhancements such as a restaurant menu section and money-saving coupons.
Mike Callihan, former Lieutenant Governor of Colorado, is a principal of Smart Books of Colorado, LLC. He began the High Country directory in Gunnison, Colorado almost 30 years ago. Callihan will serve as a consultant to Yellow Book.
