Yellow Book USA acquires Coastal Telephone Directory - 29 November 2006
Acquisition serves communities along the Washington and Oregon coastline.Yellow Book, the nation’s oldest and largest independent yellow pages directory, announced today that it has acquired the Coastal Telephone Directory, which serves communities along the Washington and Oregon coast, from Impact Directories.
With this acquisition, Yellow Book will publish directories for coastal communities including Oregon’s North Coast towns, Astoria and Warrenton, and Long Beach Peninsula in Washington State. The new Yellow Book Coastal Directory will be full of buying information and helpful local information, such as maps and restaurant menus— popular for residents and tourists.
“We are looking forward to serving these coastal communities,” said Joe Walsh, Yellow Book’s CEO. “By publishing directories that are rich in content, Yellow Book will deliver information and choices to residents and visitors, and an affordable advertising option to business owners.”
Residents of these coastal towns--and visitors researching accommodations and restaurants in advance of their visit--will be able to search for local information on Yellowbook.com, another popular online search method for buying information.
Yellow Book currently publishes 13 directories in the state of Washington with a circulation of 2.5 million and 17 directories in Oregon with a distribution of more than 2 million.
