Yellow Pages gives away 10 cars in 10 weeks to 10 winners - 11 May 2006

BMWYell, publisher of Yellow Pages directories, has launched an exciting new promotion to give away a new BMW 3 Series and a year’s free car insurance every week over a ten week period.

The promotion celebrates the launch of the new Yellow Pages car insurance TV advert and coincides with the introduction of the latest edition of the Yellow Pages Insurance Guide, which offers consumers the whole range of insurance listings all in one place.

The 10 winners over 10 weeks are being chosen completely randomly from anyone using the Yellow Pages Insurance Guide to gain a quote from a participating insurer*.

In the newly launched Yellow Pages television ad, James Nesbitt’s hugely popular and humorous character is seen phoning for an insurance quote for his sleek two seater Corvette. His phone enquiry is abruptly cut short as ‘James’ discovers he is about to become a father and ends with him seeking a quote on a more practical people carrier.

The first of the ten winners is Clifford Mace, a retired bus driver from Abbey Wood in South London, who only discovered he had won the car when like James Nesbitt’s character, he called up for a car insurance quote.

Gary Brown, head of customer and product development at Yell, said: “We are really excited to have found the first winner in this fantastic promotion, but there are still nine cars to be won over the next nine weeks. Anyone using the Yellow Pages Insurance Guide to source a quote from participating insurers is in with a chance of winning.”
