Yellow Book acquires Georgia’s Hometown Yellow Pages - 10 January 2007
Yellow Book USA, the nation’s oldest and largest independent publisher of yellow pages, announced today that it has purchased the Hometown Yellow Pages directory that serves the Atlanta suburbs of Douglas and Paulding Counties.The Hometown Yellow Pages acquisition strengthens Yellow Book’s presence in the state of Georgia where the company currently publishes 35 directories and distributes more than 3 million copies.
Yellow Book is sweeping the nation with one of the most recognized brands, connecting consumers to local businesses with print directories and with the company’s online yellow pages directory, Yellowbook.com, both of which are localized and rich with information.
“This acquisition gives Yellow Book the opportunity to create new relationships with local businesses,” said Joe Walsh, Yellow Book’s CEO. “We look forward to providing them with affordable advertising rates.”
