Yellow Book increases coverage in the State of Washington with Macgregor Publishing acquisition - 29 May 2007
Deal includes eight directories from San Juan Islands to Snohomish County.Yellow Book USA, the nation’s oldest and largest independent publisher of print and online yellow pages directories, announced today the acquisition of MacGregor Publishing Company, headquartered in Mount Vernon, Washington.
The acquisition includes MacGregor Publishing’s eight Plaid Book directories that serve Bellingham Whatcom County, Skagit Valley, San Juan Islands, Whidbey Island, Anacortes, Everett and Vicinity, and North and South Snohomish County, with a estimated circulation of 630,000. Yellow Book currently publishes 13 directories in Washington, including Seattle.
MacGregor Publishing has been publishing the Plaid Books for over 20 years. “Like Yellow Book, we believe our strongest point of difference is our people.” says MacGregor President, Linda MacGregor. “We are excited to be joining a strong company with values very similar to our own.”
