Board announcement - 20 May 2009
The Board of Yell today announces that Bob Scott, Chairman of Yell, has decided not to stand for re-election at the time of the forthcoming Annual General Meeting to be held on Friday, 24 July, 2009. The Board will now conduct a search, and a successor will be announced in due course.
Bob Scott, who has served as Chairman of Yell since June, 2002 said: “Yell is a first class company with a first class management team. Operationally, it has consistently out-performed its peers and it continues to do so. In today’s economic environment, Yell faces many challenges which are actively being addressed by the Board and Management whom I wish every success in the years ahead.”
John Condron, Chief Executive Officer, said: “All of us at Yell regret Bob’s leaving. He has been an exemplary Chairman since before Yell’s flotation and we have all benefited from his wisdom and guidance. We wish him all the best for the future.”
