Yellow Pages Wins for G. Baldwin & Co - Bigger is Better - 17 June 1998

G. Baldwin & Co, London’s oldest and most established herbalist since 1848 is the winner of a 48 sheet road side poster.

The competition, based on Yellow Pages current London activity, was mailed to 44,000 current London advertisers inviting entrants to answer questions on where to find their London.

The 48 sheet poster will be situated in Walworth Road in Elephant & Castle for two months. The advert featuring G. Baldwin & Co will be seen by people who walk past this location each day.

George Baldwin founded the company in 1844 which went on to thrive for fifty years and eventually peaking at 12 shops around the London area. Henry Dagnell joined Baldwins at the end of the First World War, his role was to restore the failing G. Baldwin shops. The company has since been passed on through generations. In 1995 Stephen Dagnell launched the Synergy Range which is based on the finest quality essential oils combined with luxurious carrier oils.

Max Bygraves and Martin Shaw of Coronation Street, are just a few people who have visited the company over the years.
