New Look Charlie Dimmock Launches New Look Yellow Pages - 9 September 1999
TV celebrity gardener, Charlie Dimmock, today modelled Yellow Pages new sunflower look, marking the first major redesign in Yellow Pages 33 year history.|
Following extensive research which covered everything from how users search for information to how they store the familiar yellow book, the redesigned Yellow Pages directory is now brighter, clearer and even easier to use. |
Charlie Dimmock said, "I am thrilled Yellow Pages has given me the chance to ditch my jeans for a dress. Sunflowers were the first plants that I grew and have always been one of my favourite flowers, it’s great Yellow Pages has chosen them for its new look directory."
The redesign, which includes new look Guide sections, Yellow Pages own custom-designed type face called ‘Yellow,’ and new White Knock Out ads- will ensure the directory retains its status as the UK’s Number One Classified Information Directory.
Nigel Marson, Yellow Pages, Marketing Communications Controller, said: "This is the most significant change to the directory since it was introduced in 1966. Yellow Pages is one of the best known brands in the UK and the best information bridge between buyer and seller.
"Yellow Pages remains at the forefront of information provision and we continually invest in its success. We have listened to advertisers and users and developed the most user friendly directory yet."
