Yellow Pages Gets The Go-ahead To Introduce New Bath Directory - 25 August 1999

The plans by Yellow Pages to introduce for the first time a brand new directory for Bath along with a more localised one for Bristol have been approved by the Office of Fair Trading.

Earlier this Summer, as part of a massive listening campaign, Yellow Pages invited over 11,000 advertisers in the existing Bristol Yellow Pages and members of the public to comment on the proposed changes to the future of the Bristol Yellow Pages.

73% say Yes
The response was overwhelming: 73% of those responding said yes, they did support the introduction of smaller, more local books.

As well as talking to advertisers, Yellow Pages launched a press and radio advertising campaign and a series of focus group discussions inviting users to voice their opinions on the proposed Bristol and Bath directories. In addition, the company wrote to local councillors asking for their views. As a result of the very positive response received, Yellow Pages will now be introducing the new separate Bristol and Bath directories next year in September 2000.
