Put your money where your mouse is Yell.com Launches Personal Finance Guide - 12 July 2001

Yell.com today announced the launch of its new personal finance guide - an interactive guide bringing together the best of online personal finance services.

The site, powered by moneysupermarket.com, offers interactive advice and information on a range of personal finance issues, including mortgages, current accounts, savings and loans. Users can also request e-mail alerts on market rates, new product launches and the best saving accounts, ensuring they are regularly kept abreast of the best available financial services.

By bringing all these services together the new guide provides people with a single site where they can obtain all the advice they need to better manage their money.

Nick Harknett, General Manager, Yell.com, said, "With so many savings accounts and credit cards on offer these days, people need help working out which packages will help them make the most of their money. Yell.com already provides listings of the whole range of financial services and this interactive advice section aims to complement this."

"Yell.com is continually evolving and the personal finance guide reflects our ongoing commitment to developing the popular destination site. Other guides available on Yell.com include motoring, travel, property and shopping guides," he added.

The Yell.com personal finance offering is split into various sections each specialising in different aspects of money management. The current accounts area allows users to review and compare over 300 deals and find one to suit their needs.

The personal loans section enables users to choose from over 400 loans. Also for those with money to invest, the savings section enables users to find a savings plan from over 1,000 options.

Anyone confused by the wealth of credit cards now available can find a way through the mire with advice on how to choose from over 300 credit cards. In addition, rate alerts keep users in touch with the latest changes in APR and interest rates on the various types of cards.

The home finance section is run in association with CharcolOnline and provides homehunters with everything they need when choosing the best mortgage and even allows them to apply online. There are over 450 mortgages in the section from over 45 lenders, including the top ten in the UK.

Users can also access the main Yell.com database of relevant UK businesses, speeding up the process of arranging their finances online.
