Steve Ford joins Yell’s growing dedicated agency team - 4 June 2008
Yell, the international directories business, today (June, 4) announces the appointment of Steve Ford to its expanding dedicated media agency sales team in the UK. Bringing eight years of specialist agency experience at the Telegraph Media Group, Steve is the latest addition to the team of six agency development managers.Launched last month, Yell offers a new service for UK media planners and buyers - helps agencies and brands reach engaged, ready-to-buy consumers. It includes a new online portal www.yell.com/media and dedicated agency team.
At the Telegraph Media Group, Steve led a multimedia sales team across the Group M agency division responsible for Mediacom, Mindshare, Mediaedge CIA and BJK&E.
Well known for exceeding the targets he sets for both himself and his teams, Steve is passionate about the media industry. He said: “I’m really excited to be using the experience and success I achieved at the Telegraph Media Group to great effect at Yell. I’ll be targeting consumers while they are in the mindset to buy as over half of the people who contact a business through a Yell product go on to make a purchase*. What other media reaches such a ready-to-buy market?”
Steve, who lives in Brighton, will spend most of his time in London and will be responsible for developing new accounts through media agencies.
