Five awards won in total, including Call Centre Manager of the Year and Agent of the Year.
Yellow Pages 118 24 7 has won the title of ‘Best UK Service’ for the third year running, at a major international awards ceremony for the directory assistance industry.
Yell’s Bristol based call centre received the top UK accolade for its quality of service and attitude to staff, in the 2006 International Directory Assistance Awards, organised by the independent service monitor 118tracker.com
The award was one of an unprecedented five won by Yellow Pages 118 24 7, out of a possible 15 available, secured after beating off competition from other 118 providers from around the world.
In addition to being named Best UK Service, Yellow Pages 118 24 7 also walked away with:
Call Centre Manager of the Year – Mark Eade – for his commitment and dedication to service quality, people development, customer satisfaction and organisational success.
Agent of the Year - Cara Williams – for acting as an ambassador for the delivery of an effective and rewarding customer experience and for her outstanding contribution to a successful service.
Best Training and Development Culture – for demonstrating the importance of people to the organisation and working to develop and enrich the employee experience.
Best Marketing Campaign – for the creativity, design and innovation of the marketing and promotion of the service.
Jason Smith, Yellow Pages 118 24 7 product marketing manager, said: “We are delighted to be named the best UK service for the third year running. We continue to strive to provide customers with reliable and efficient directory assistance. It is an outstanding testimony to the quality of our service that we won five awards.”
The multiple win follows another successful year for the service, which was launched with the deregulation of the UK 192 directory enquiries service in 2003.
In the monthly 118tracker.com ‘mystery shopper’ results for service and quality, Yellow Pages 118 24 7 was ranked first in eleven of the last twelve months.
Mark Temple, chair of the international judging panel and 118 Tracker Product Manager, said: “This is the first year that a company has won as many as five awards. The judging process was made extremely difficult this year as the standard of entries was so high. Yellow Pages 118 24 7 has inspired a culture and service to be proud of.”
The awards were judged by an international panel of leading experts from the directory assistance industry and presented at a special awards evening at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Manchester Airport.
